Why you should revive your senses at the latest Goodwood show:
Encapsulating a snippet of history, Chatsbrook firmly believe that classic cars have a charm that is often unmatched. Whether it is because they embody an era that is almost forgotten, or because no modern day car boasts the lines and curves of their predecessors, classic cars hold a place in every motor-enthusiasts heart.
Take a step back in time at the 2019 Goodwood Revival. Stooped in period charm, Revival often feels like a living, breathing time capsule. Guests themselves add to the authenticity by choosing to wear period clothing- making this spectacle entirely unique. From Friday the 13th of September up until Sunday the 15th of September, you can witness the unravelling of cars that often sit sedentary underneath a dust cloth. Be a spectator of sheer historic brilliance as these cars push themselves to the limits to relive their greatest highlights.
Across the circuit, depictions of another time will take place. From a spectacular aerial display of vintage Warbirds, to the luxurious Kinrara Trophy Race-where the rarest and most expensive cars in the world will be perched on the grid at dusk with their headlights ablaze, patiently waiting for the signal to kick start their re-awakening. Imagine Jaguar E-Types, Ferrari 250 GTs and Aston Martin DB4 GTs lined up like soldiers ready to embark on an incredible mission. We are already shaking in our boots!
Feel the ferocity of their pace…
Apart from the allure of the classic motors, what else makes Goodwood Revival so special?
Each race competes for a coveted trophy including the St Mary’s Trophy presented by Motul, and the Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration, which only adds to the excitement and prestige.
World renowned riders and drivers flock to this event. This year Former MotoGP maestro Dani Pedrosa is set to make an appearance amongst the star-studded motorbike grid in competition for the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy. Be surrounded by the heroes of motorsport and immerse yourself in an environment that plays tribute to the world’s greatest talents.
As part of a display celebrating 60 years of the world’s favourite small car, Revival will play homage to coach built Minis with a static display of Minis previously owned by Beatles Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr! Ask yourself this, when will an opportunity like this ever arise again?
Goodwood Revival creates memories to cherished for all members of the family. Children can experience their very own exhilarating race down Goodwood’s’ iconic start/finish straight. The Settrington Cup features pint-sized Austin J40 pedal cars for up to 40 children to enjoy-the perfect addition to a family outing!
In honour of those that fought, a Douglas C-47 Skytrain has been arranged to conduct a breath-taking parachute drop as the focal point for Goodwood’s D-Day commemorations.
You have the opportunity to watch history re-write itself before your very eyes. So why not give in to their charm and book yourself and your family tickets? After all, kids go free!
