Chatsbrook Raise Funds for the Big C.
Last weekend individuals braved the storm Hannah to attend the first event of Cars & Coffee Norfolk. The atmosphere of the event was rather intoxicating. It was incredible to witness people using their prized possessions for a good cause and to stand in solidarity against Cancer.
Even in the rain, Ketteringham Hall exuded grandeur- providing the perfect backdrop for the event.
However, as soon as Lotus Cars arrived, everything changed.
Instead of the Hall just being a venue, it transitioned to become an active part of the event. Lotus Cars paid homage to its history by parking directly outside the grand entrance. The juxtaposition of the vibrant orange and the playful curvature of the bodywork against the traditional and rigid structure of the hall only further emphasized the beauty of the event. This seemed to reinvigorate Ketteringham Hall as it stood there, tall and proud. It was truly a sight to behold as it made our guests fathom as to how incredible the hall must have looked whilst Lotus was based there.
Many iconic cars conquered the journey and were artistically placed on the grounds. Here are some of the highlights:
The Jaguar F-Type was amongst the first to arrive on site.
The line-up of cars exceeded our expectations. It was amazing to see such a variety of brands in one place which included the Mercedes-Benz SLK, Lotus Evora & Nissan 350Z
The mix of classic, prestige, and Supercars meant that there was a wealth of automotive knowledge- it was fantastic to see people networking.
The stalls even donated 15% of their earnings to Big C!
The Abarth Owners Club even made an appearance. It was great to see the support of their fleet.
The Ford Model A and the Chevrolet pickup truck gave attendee’s an insight into the eccentric car market.
These contemporary sportscars showcased the epitome of German automotive engineering.
Fun fact: It is possible that this Esprit was designed and produced on these grounds.
Lotus came back home for the day-they brought some showstoppers with them!
The photo’s themselves encapsulate the uniqueness of every individual car. The contrast of old and new highlighted not only how far technology has come but acknowledged where the inspiration of contemporary cars has come from.
Despite the constant showers, the owners of cars exuded such joy and excitement. The weather did not put a dampener on our spirits and for that Big C are eternally grateful. It is due to the support from individuals, like yourself, that local Charities such as Big C are able to continue to help our community. The donations 100% received from the event will go on to fund support centres and new, innovative technology for our hospitals.
It is with a very full heart that Chatsbrook say a big THANK YOU to those that were able to attend. We hope that you join us in making every moment matter. Stay tuned on our social media pages @Chatsbrook for further images on the event.
Any donations the Big C receive are welcome.
